Face Yoga Exercises at Home

When you meet someone, your face is the first thing that people. People love to meet and converse with you if your face is glowing. Premature aging, dullness, and weariness can seize the glow of the face. Hence it is essential to practice facial yoga to tone and firm the muscles of your face. Accumulation of stress builds tension in the facial muscles and facial yoga help in releasing that tension from the facial muscles of the body. Like the rest of the body's muscles, if you do not exercise the muscles of the face, it can become weak and flabby. What is face yoga?
Face yoga is a simple exercise designed to strengthen, tone, relax and lift the muscle of the face. As the name suggests, face yoga is an exercise for your facial muscles. When it is practiced regularly, it promotes a more healthy and more youthful appearance. As we age, it leads to muscle atrophy, sagging, and wrinkles. That’s when you need to face yoga, as this improves the blood circulation in the underlying tissue and the muscle of the face. This leads to the oxygenation of the cells from the deep and nourishes the skin of the face on a deeper level.
Here are some face yoga exercises you can do at your home
Puffy Cheeks
Inhale from your nose and puff your both cheeks and now shift this air in your mouth from one cheek to another at least 6 to 8 times. Release the air from the mouth making an O-face. Repeat this exercise at least 2 to 3 times.
This facial exercise will strengthen your cheek muscle, make them firm and prevent it from sagging.
Make a Fish Face
This is another easiest yet effective face yoga exercise. Make a fish face by sucking the inside of the cheeks into the side area of the face and then try to smile as wide as you can.
This facial yoga exercise will release the tension around the lips and cheeks areas and make you the owner of pink cheeks.
Lookup
For this facial exercise, all you have to do is to look up to the ceiling and just make a face as you are going to kiss something. Hold the pose for at least 5 seconds and repeat it 6 to 8 times. For more defined jawline press your chin from the thumb and while looking start pressing the under area of your chin from the lower end and then move upward.
This facial exercise will help you to get rid of that double chin and also give a more defined jawline.
Make the V for eye
To practice this exercise, you have to put your index finger on the outer edge of your eye corner and middle finger on the inner corner of the eyes. Look up towards the ceiling and lift the eye muscles with the finger with a stronger force and then relax. Repeat the pose at least 5 to 6 times and then relax your eye muscle by shutting it tightly. This is one of the best facial yoga exercises to remove eye bag, drooping eyelids and puffiness around eyes.
Gentle massage on the forehead
Place your palm on your forehead with your finger pointing inwards. Now spread all the finger on your forehead area. Now gently press the forehead and sweep your finger all across the forehead applying little pressure on the forehead. Repeat this at least 6 to 8 times and relax. This is an effective facial exercise to remove forehead lining.
Practice lion Pose
Sit on the vajrasana and rest your palm on the knees. Straighten your spine as you take a deep breath in and as you exhale open your mouth as wide as you can and stick your tongue out and stretch it down till your chin. Fix your gaze towards the third eye, open your chest and make a haa sound while exhaling completely. Relax and then repeat at least 6 to 8 time.
Lion pose or simhasana is the best facial yoga exercise to tone your entire face and neck muscle, making the skin firm and tight.
